With school and all of life basically cancelled many of the parents I know are looking for things to keep kids busy and learning. While the iPad is a FANTASTIC babysitter, I mean learning tool, it’s not ideal for the kiddos to be staring at it all day so I wanted to share 5 printable activities that have (so far) kept my kids engaged, thinking, and away from the screen:
1. MAD LIBS: Remember these? I have one child who really hates writing but doing a few of these usually gets him going. I found a bunch of them on THIS SITE.
2. HIDDEN PICTURE PUZZLES: When the kids are bored and whiny hidden picture puzzles keep them busy, and they get into deep discussions about how easy/ difficult certain ones are to find! My kids use a light color marker to keep track of what they have found. Highlights has some great ones!
3. SPOT THE DIFFERENCE WORKSHEETS: Another fun one that doesn’t feel like “school work” and gets their brains going! All Kids Network has these fun printable pages, in addition to resources for many other subjects.
5. WORD SEARCH: We have done so many word searches in the past 2 weeks, I’ve lost track of them. HERE are some to get started with.
